School Tour

Image Description: In a navy blue room, about twenty school children wearing matching royal blue shirts, line up against a metal railing to view a large-scale model of New York City’s watershed. The railing cuts the view diagonally from the bottom left corner to the top right corner, where you find an adult chaperone and a teal and mint-blue fabric sculpture jutting into the frame from above.

Queens Teens Institute

Image Description: A blue text slide with centered text that reads “Queens Teens Institute for Art and Social Justice”, in green font. The text is stair-cased along a zigzag line in the same green color.

Lorraine Chambers Lewis

Image Description: A portrait of Lorraine, a brown skinned woman with black, shoulder-length sisterlocks and brown eyes. She is wearing a navy blue dress with a matching blazer, red lipstick, gold earrings, a 3-strand gold and blue beaded necklace, and an apple watch. She is smiling and sitting on a window sill with her hands apart.

Anniversary Gala

Image Description: An exhibition space transformed into a temporary dining venue. Packed around white clothed dining tables with gray dining chairs, community members are dressed in casual/formal wear, vary in racial backgrounds, and range from young adults to elders. The room is humming with energy and everyone has their hands raised enthusiastically.

ASL Socks

Image Description: A pair of lime green socks with a mini, black-outlined cartoon of a hand signing “I love you” in ASL. The cartoon is repeated six times on the back of each ankle. Each column of cartoon hands shifts from having a smile to a frown as you move down. On the soles of the socks reads “QUEENS MUSEUM” in black.
